Views have been down on Medium recently. Everyone who writes on this platform knows about this. A lot of people still like it here, and they have great followership here. Some are making a fair bit of money here as well. However, I have been writing on Medium for a bit now, and it has only been to gain a few followers and get my name out there.
A lot of you know me. For those who don’t, I’m Dexter Alex, an African storyteller and freelance writer. I spend my time plotting schemes, writing thrillers and Sci-fi, and watching John Oliver. There’s a lot of my previous works out there, published in magazines and available here as well.
Basically, I’m a freelance writer, and that is how I pay my bills. But then jobs don’t last forever, and I’m always on the lookout for the next one. In my line of work, everything depends on you. The country which I’m from doesn’t allow me to make any money from medium articles, so writing on Upwork is basically my only source of income as a freelancer.
I’m willing to bet many people here, or probably even someone you might know has a fiction novel in the works, but they are struggling with it. There are news articles all over the place of freelancers making hundreds of thousands of dollars every year on freelancing platforms. I’m not looking for that. I’m more in the realistic field of a few hundred every now and then.
So here’s what I’m offering. A hundred dollars for every ten thousand words. I have a lot of samples on my account and even more on my dossier. Also, if you are reading this, you probably could also look at other pieces on my account and see the quality of my work.
Thrillers and Sci-fi are my favorite genres, but I also work on everything from Romance and Erotica to Westerns and Young Adult.
